With this project, KHATRA wants to tell a story: How can Tiles, a material often perceived as “raw and cold”, become the key element that brightens up an entire living space?

A typical 2-bedroom apartment with an area of 62m² was renovated into 1 master bedroom combined with a workspace. Instead of “subdividing” the area, the new space is opened up to welcome more natural light.

The apartment is crafted like an open painting, where each color block and material becomes a brushstroke defining the Mid-Century Modern style.

The living room is a space of rhythm and warmth, where shades of Terracotta, Olive, and wood brown converse with each other, reminiscent of the golden decades while remaining minimalist enough for today’s lifestyle.
